Objective

Design a frame for a rated load, check it with FEA, then build it and measure deflection under load.

A welded steel H-frame, a bottle-jack hydraulic cylinder, a bed plate and ram, with a pressure gauge and a dial gauge.

Design for strength, welding, FEA and testing, typical of workshop and manufacturing roles.

CAD/FEA software. Welding, cutting and drilling. Test only up to the rated load and with guards in place.
