Web Vulnerability Scanner Tested on DVWA

Cyber SecurityMedium-Hard

Approx. component budget: Rs. 0 - 500

Objective

Learn how common web flaws work and how to fix them by building a simple scanner and testing it on a deliberately vulnerable app.

What you will build

A scanner that crawls a website and checks for common issues such as SQL injection, cross-site scripting and missing security headers, then writes a report.

Results you can expect

What you will learn

The OWASP Top 10, how injection and XSS work, secure coding fixes, and responsible testing.

Tools and notes

Python (requests, BeautifulSoup), DVWA or OWASP Juice Shop in Docker, OWASP ZAP for comparison. Test only on your own lab setup or with written permission. Never scan real websites.
