CI/CD Pipeline with GitHub Actions and Docker

Objective

Show how teams ship software safely and often, and measure how much time automation saves.

What you will build

A full automated pipeline for a small web app: on every push it runs tests, checks code quality, builds a Docker image and deploys to a cloud service.

Results you can expect

• Pipeline run time
• Test coverage percentage
• Deployment time from commit to live
• A failed-test case that blocks a bad release
• And a rollback demo

What you will learn

Continuous integration and delivery, containers, secrets management, and working in a team with branches.

Tools and notes

GitHub Actions, Docker, pytest or Jest, a free tier on Render, Railway or a cloud VM. Keep secrets in the platform's secret store, never in code.
