Hospital Appointment and Queue Management System

Objective

Reduce waiting-room crowding by letting patients see their turn, and prevent double booking of the same slot.

A system for booking doctor slots, showing a live queue position, and sending reminders by SMS or email, with an admin view for the hospital desk.

Concurrency and locking, real-time updates, scheduling logic, and handling sensitive data carefully.

Node.js or Django, PostgreSQL, WebSockets, email or Twilio sandbox. Use dummy patient data only and never real medical records.

Built and tested Hospital Appointment and Queue Management System; objective: reduce waiting-room crowding by letting patients see their turn, and prevent double booking of the same slot.
