Approx. component budget: Rs. 8,000 - 13,000
Measure member forces and joint deflection of a truss under load and check them against hand calculation and FEA.
A small Warren or Pratt truss from steel or aluminium strips with pinned joints, a loading hanger, dial gauges and optional strain gauges on selected members.
Structural analysis, method of joints and sections, FEA validation, and how trusses carry load.
Dial gauges or strain gauges + HX711, FEA software, Excel. Load only up to the planned limit and keep clear below the load.
