Objective

Improve a cookstove design and test it using the water boiling test to find efficiency, fuel use and time to boil.

What you will build

A sheet-metal cookstove with an insulated chamber, air inlets and a chimney, compared against a plain traditional stove.

Combustion basics, heat transfer and design improvement with real data. Relevant to clean-cooking work.

Tools and notes

Thermometer, weighing scale, stopwatch. Test outdoors with good ventilation and fire safety.
