Elevator Controller Model with PLC and Floor Request Logic

Objective

Program a lift that serves requests fairly and safely, and compare two serving strategies.

What you will build

A 4-floor lift model with call buttons, door control, floor sensors and a PLC that serves requests efficiently.

Results you can expect

• Average waiting time for 20 random requests under 2 strategies
• Correct door and safety interlock operation
• And overload or door-open behaviour

What you will learn

State machines, queue handling and interlocks in real machinery.

Tools and notes

PLC or OpenPLC, stepper or DC motor with limit switches, push buttons, LEDs. Fit limit switches at both ends to prevent over-travel.
