Mini SCADA with Modbus RTU for a Small Process Plant Model

Learn how an industrial monitoring system talks to field devices and how alarms are logged.

A model with tanks, pumps and sensors read over Modbus by a PC or Raspberry Pi SCADA screen showing live values, trends and alarms.

What you will learn

Modbus, SCADA design, alarm handling and industrial data logging.

Tools and notes

Arduino or ESP32 as Modbus slaves, RS-485 modules, Node-RED or ScadaBR, small pumps and level sensors. Use low-voltage DC pumps and waterproof wiring.
