Energy HarvestingEasy-Medium

Approx. component budget: Rs. 3,000 - 7,000

Diagram (illustration, not to scale)

Objective

Find how much electrical energy is collected per step and how it depends on force, number of elements and load.

What you will build

A tile with piezo discs or stacks under a spring-loaded platform, a rectifier and storage capacitor, a small boost circuit, an LED load and a force measurement arrangement.

Results you can expect

What you will learn

Piezoelectric effect, energy harvesting and rectifier design, with a realistic view of how little energy is produced.

Tools and notes

Piezo elements, oscilloscope or Arduino, small weights, Excel. Low-voltage, safe build, but keep the platform stable.

Resume points from this project

Replace [x] with your own measured results. Write only what you really did.
